Day 01-       EL PASO / ATHENS

Board from El Paso for your flight to Athens.  Meals will be served on board. 

Day 02-       ATHENS

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel in Athens, dinner and overnight.

DAY 03-      ATHENS / PIRAEUS / MYKONOS

Transfer to the port of Piraeus and board your cruise ship for a 4-day, 3- night cruise of the Aegean Sea.  It is said that three days on the Aegean gives one a true sense of Greece's layered history and a great respect for the God-given majesty of the Aegean's breath-taking islands.  The first port call is Mykonos, an island of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, dazzling white-washed houses, narrow paved streets and windmills which cover the island.  Mykonos is also known for its churches - 365 of them dot the beautiful island.  Return to the ship for dinner and overnight at sea.

DAY 04-     PATMOS / KUSADASI (EPHESUS)

You will have an early morning arrival at the port of Kusadasi (Ephesus).  Disembark the ship and board your coach for a visit to the ancient city of Ephesus for a guided walking tour through one of the most magnificent excavated cities in the world.  See the Odeon (concert hall), the Fountain of Trajan, the steam-heated Baths of Scolastika, the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre of Ephesus where Paul preached.  Return to your coach via the Arcadian Way where Marc Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession as newlyweds.  Return to the ship for a short sail to the island of Patmos for a visit to the Monastery of St. John where the original gospel manuscript is on display.  Then visit the Grotto of the Apocalypse where you see the silver niches in the wall that mark the pillow and ledge used as a desk by the author of the Book of Revelations as well as the three-fold crack made by the voice of God.  Return to the ship for dinner and your overnight sailing to Crete.

DAY 05-     CRETE / SANTORINI

You will have an early morning arrival at the port of Heraklion (Crete) for a tour of Knossos, once the capital city of the prehistoric Minoan civilization.  Enjoy a tour of the excavations of the Palace of King Minos and the surrounding area.  Return to the ship for a short sail to the island of Santorini.  Depart the ship by tender to Athenios Harbor to board your motorcoach for an uphill drive to the village of Oia.  Enjoy free time exploring the city of Oia before returning to the ship for your overnight sail to Piraues.

DAY 06-     ATHENS / CORINTH / ATHENS

You will be met with the guide and driver at Piraeus and then you will drive to Corinth. You will see the House of Mary where Paul preached and was tired. You will have a tour of the Corinth Canal, the Ancient Corinth, the Excavations, and the Bema Seat. Then return to Athens for your tour to include the Parthenon, the Acropolis, Mars Hill, where Paul preached, and the Agora (ancient marketplace). Continue touring of the Plaka district. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Athens.

DAY 07-     ATHENS / TEL AVIV / MT. CARMEL / STELLA MARIS / CAESAREA

This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival today, you will be met and go to Old Joppa for Mass. Then travel via the coast to Caesarea, where the Romans held Paul prisoner. Visit the Roman and Crusader ruins.  Continue to Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt, Carmel for Mass.  Drive through the Jezreel Valley to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 08-     THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST IN THE GALILEE:  TIBERIAS / BOAT RIDE - SEA OF GALILEE / CAPERNAUM / MT. BEATITUDES / CAESAREA PHILIPPI

Some of today's highlights are a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to see the synagogue and St. Peter's house, a visit to the Mount of the Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount was given, to Tabgha to see the splendid mosaic about the miracle of the loaves and fishes, and to the nearby Church of Peter's Primacy where Peter was told " Feed my lambs, feed my sheep." There will be an unforgettable Mass near the shores of the Sea of Galilee at the Primacy or Mt. Beatitudes. In the afternoon we visit Caesarea Philippi, location of the testimony of St. Peter and where Jesus answered him “You are the Rock and upon this rock I will build my Church.” Dinner and overnight at your hotel in the Galilee.

DAY 09 -     GOING UP TO JERUSALEM: CANA / NAZARETH/ BASILICA OF THE ANNUNCIATION/ MT. TABOR / JERUSALEM

We start the day with a visit to Cana, the village of Jesus' first miracle of changing water into wine; here couples may renew their wedding vows.  Continue to the Basilica of Annunciation in Nazareth where we will celebrate Mass and visit Mary's Well and the Church of the Angel Gabriel.  Drive on to Mount Tabor, scene of the Transfiguration.  Afterwards drive through the Jordan Valley and then up through the Judean hills to the Holy City of Jerusalem.  Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.

DAY 10-     JERUSALEM/ THE HOLY CITY AND BETHLEHEM THE NATIVITY/ SHEPHERD’S FIELDS/ CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY / EIN KAREM

On the first day in Jerusalem we present an overview for a better understanding of its geography and some of the key sites surrounding the area. From this vantage point see much of what makes Jerusalem such a unique city to the three major religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We then head to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. In the afternoon, we drive to the Shepherd's Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born.  Attend Mass in Bethlehem. Drive through the Valley of the cross to Ein Karem and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the 'Magnificat'.  Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.

DAY 11-        STATIONS OF THE CROSS/ ST. ANNE’S CHURCH/ ECCE HOMO/ CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE/ WAILING WALL/ UPPER ROOM/ DORMITION

Early in the morning we retrace the last steps of Jesus. As we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross, we reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice. Finally we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Mass.  After breakfast at our hotel we return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. We pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”; then the Wailing Wall, the most holy place for Jews.  Nearby is the Dome of the Rock and the Haram al Sharif or Temple Mount.  We exit at Mt. Zion and head to the Cenacle, where we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Next we go to Dormition Abbey, where we believe the Blessed Mary died. We end the day at St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Him thrice.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem   

DAY 12-     JERUSALEM, THE PASSION OF JESUS' LAST HOURS: BETHANY/ PALM SUNDAY/ DOMINUS FLEVIT/ GETHSEMANE/CAVE OF BETRAYAL/ CAVE OF ASSUMPTION/ PATER NOSTER

We begin our day with a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Then onto the Mt. of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.  Drive to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest. Visit the cave of betrayal then the cave of the Assumption of Mary to heaven.  Back on the Mt. of Olives we visit the Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in many languages, and the Ascension from where ascended to Heaven.  On to Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 13-      TEL AVIV / EL PASO

Transfer to the airport for your flight to El Paso.
