Day 1: Departure
Depart for your overnight flight to Prague. Meals will be served on board!

Day 2: Prague arrival

  • Upon arrival in Prague Airport you will find your luggage and exit the baggage claim into the arrivals hall where you will be greeted by your tour escort and/or driver.
  • After a warm welcome to Prague you will be escorted to your transportation to your hotel.
  • Enjoy a free afternoon to stroll the quaint streets of Prague before meeting your group.
  • Celebrate Mass at the local church
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel in Prague. (D)

 Day 3: Prague

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, we begin our tour of beautiful Prague.
  • Your guided tour of Prague starts with the Castle district Hradcany (entrance fee included) and a visit to St. Vitus’ Cathedral (used for the inauguration of presidents and where you can find the tomb of St. Wenceslas and former rulers of the Czech Kingdom). This beautifully decorated chapel is dedicated to the patron of Czech lands, St. Wenceslas, a Bohemian Prince from the Premyslid dynasty assassinated by his own brother. The chapel was built on the former place of Romanesque rotunda where Wenceslas was buried. St. Wenceslas Chapel still keeps the holy relics of the saint. Continue on to the Basilica of St. George and a visit to Prague Castle. You will also see the Golden Lane, a row of tiny artisans’ shops built outside the castle walls in medieval times.
  • We celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady Victorious (subject to confirmation) and see the renowned statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Free afternoon for your own activities
  • Dinner with folk show at a local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel in Prague. (B, D)

Day 4: Prague

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Today, visit the beautiful, statue-lined Charles Bridge and the Old Town, considered one of the most preserved old cities in Europe. See over a thousand years of history as you enjoy the architecture and visit the old town square. See the famous astronomical clock that comes alive when the hour strikes and the twelve disciples appear to bless the crowd. You will also have the chance to walk along the Prague alleys through the Powder tower to St. Wenceslas Square and walk through the Jewish quarter (see the outside of the Great Synagogue and the Cemetery).
  • We celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady before Týn (subject to confirmation)
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Free afternoon for your own activities
  • Dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight at the hotel in Prague. (B, D)

Day 5: Prague – Svata Hora – Budapest

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  • Depart Prague for Budapest
  • On the way stop in Svatá Hora
  • Visit Svatá Hora (entrance fee included), which is one of the most important places of pilgrimage in Central Europe. There are thousands of pilgrims coming here every year to venerate the Mother of God -  the most precious local gem, which, according to legend, was carved from pear wood by Archbishop Arnost of Pardubice himself – one of the foremost councillors in the court of Emperor Charles IV. After the tour listen to a short concert in the Basilica.

  • Lunch on your own
  • Continue to Budapest
  • Check in to the hotel in Budapest
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Budapest. (B, D)

Day 6: Budapest

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Start the day with panoramic tour of Gellert hill and Citadel, then we visit the St Matyas Church (entrance fee included) & nearby Fishermen Bastion from where we enjoy a view of the City of Budapest dominated by the Parliament view.
  • Celebrate Mass at Matyas Church (subject to confirmation).
  • On we cross the St Elizabeth Bridget visiting Heroes square, St Stephen Basilica, See the Dohany Synagogue and the nearby Grand Market
  • Lunch on your own at the grand market
  • Afternoon at leisure enjoy the Vaci Ut Street or walk along the Danube river seeing the Shoe on the Danube Memorial or enjoy coffee along one of the many coffee shops lining the River bank
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Budapest. (B, D)

Day 7: Budapest – Szentendre – Visegrad -  Esztergom – Budapest

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Enjoy Danube Bend tour which offers some of the country's finest landscapes where the river passes between the hills and turns south. Formerly the property of the Crown, this land was the scene of major historic events in Medieval Hungary.
  • Drive on to Szentendre – which with its winding lanes, seven aspiring church towers, colorful houses, narrow side streets is the most frequented tourist destination of the Danube Bend. (tour led by tour escort)
  • Continue on to Visegrad from where  the Papal Nuncio, well used to pomp and chivalry, headed his letters “from Visegrad, a Paradise on Earth” when he stayed as a guest and saw the breathtaking palace of the great Renaissance monarch, King Matthias. With 350 rooms and two-tier fountains of red marble, it was one of the most luxurious royal residences of the age. (tour led by tour escort)
  • Lunch on your own
  • Continue to Esztergom – the seat of the Archbishop of Esztergom, the primate of the Hungarian Catholic Church. St. Stephen, the first Hungarian king and founder of the country, was born in the castle erected here in around 970. (tour led by tour escort)
  • Entrance to the Esztergom Cathedral.
  • Celebrate Mass at the Esztergom Cathedral
  • Transfer back to Budapest.
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Budapest. (B, D)

Day 8: Budapest – Vienna

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
  • Depart for Vienna
  • Lunch on you own on the way
  • On arrival to Vienna visit Schönbrunn Palace (entrance fee included) the fabulous Baroque summer residence of the Hapsburg Emperors. Here, Marie-Antoinette lived as a young girl and the six year-old Mozart played for the empress inside the Palace.
  • Celebrate Mass at a local church
  • Arrive and check into your hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Vienna. (B, D)

Day 9: Vienna

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • This morning we start the day with Mass at Stephen Cathedral followed by a tour of the interiors of the Cathedral to include the rooftop of the Cathedral (entrance fee included)
  • On for a walking tour of Vienna Historical center passing the Hofburg palace and gardens, Donners fountain, pass the famous Horse riding school and opera house
  • Lunch on your own
  • Free afternoon
  • Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Vienna. (B, D)

Day 10: Vienna – Melk Abbey – Vienna

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Depart for Melk
  • Visit Melk, with its Abbey (entrance fee included) crowning the rocky hill overlooking the Danube. It is the best sample of Baroque architecture in Austria. Visit the Benedictine Abbey that was founded in 1702. Its library contains over 80,000 books and 2,000 manuscripts - all on religious subjects.

  • Return to Vienna
  • Free afternoon

Day 11: Vienna departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
