THURSDAY – May 14 (Day 1): Departure
Depart Reno, NV for your overnight flights to Holy Land. Meals served on board.
FRIDAY – May 15 (Day 2): Arrival Tel Aviv – Transfer to Tiberius
Meet your guide at the Airport, Drive to your Hotel in Tiberias (Galilee) for dinner and Overnight.
SATURDAY – May 16 (Day 3): Caesarea – Mt. Carmel – Meggido - Magdala
We start the day with a visit to Caesarea Maritima, where we will visit the magnificent city with Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins. Continue to visit Mount Carmel and on to Meggido to explore the Tel that goes back in history to 4000 BC, looking at ruins from the times of King Solomon and King Ahab. Overlooking the Armageddon Valley, we will also discuss the reasons why we believe this will be the setting for the final battle between good and evil mentioned in Revelation 16:16. Back to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight
We start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Pastor Joe will share a brief message and we’ll have communion at an outdoor location in the area. Then we continue to visit the Jesus Boat Museum to visit a 2000 years old boat since time of Jesus. After that we go to Capernaum where we visit the Remains of an old house. We continue on to Mt. Beatitudes on the Sea of Galilee. Then we will visit Magdala . End of the day will be visiting Banias the Site of Peter’s Confession. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Today we check out of our hotel in Galilee and head south towards Jerusalem. Stop at Cana of Galilee, then Nazareth and Nazareth village. Drive through the Jordan valley, visit the baptismal site on the Jordan River, visit Jericho (entrance to Tel Jericho included), and drive up to the Holy city of Jerusalem and panoramic view over the Jerusalem from Mount Scopus, and a visit to the Wailing Wall. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.
We’ll start the day with a visit to the Mt. Olives, where will stop for a panoramic view over Jerusalem where our guide will point the most important sites in Jerusalem, including the Garden of Gethsemane. Continue to visit Herodian, Herod’s summer palace and his burial place. Visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity built over the Birthplace of Jesus. At the end of the day will be visiting the Shepherd’s Field where the Shepherd’s saw the star of the nativity. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem
Full Day Tour in the Dead Sea area. We will visit Masada (cable car included), the fortress built by King Herod the Great and made famous by the Zealots in 73/74 AD with the stand- off against the Romans. We visit the fortress and see the ruins that are considered a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Then we continue to visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found, and Swim in the Dead Sea. We will also visit Elisha Spring and view Mount Temptation Monastery (from the distance). Drive the Jordan Valley and end with dinner and Overnight in Bethlehem
THURSDAY – May 21 (Day 8): Temple Mount – St. Anne – Davidson Centre – Mt. Zion –Museum
Today we visit the Temple Mount where the Temple of Jerusalem stood. Then we will visit St. Anne & Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed the paralytic, and see the Davidson Centre (Jerusalem Archaeological Park), Mount Zion and the upper room. We will also visit David’s Tomb. In the afternoon we’ll see the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept and Yad Vashem the Holocaust Museum. Dinner and overnight in your hotel in Bethlehem.
FRIDAY – May 22 (Day 9): Garden of Gethsemane – St. Peter in Galicantu – Garden Tomb
We will star the day with private prayer at Gethsemane Garden. On to Caiaphas’ Palace where Peter denied Jesus Three times, continue to visit Ecce Homo (near the beginning of the Via Dolorosa) and biblical Gabbatha. Follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, walk through different quarters of Jerusalem and then the Garden Tomb, where we will have communion together. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem
SATURDAY – May 23 (Day 10): City of David – Hezekiah’s Tunnel – Farewell Dinner
This morning, we will start our day with a visit to City of David and Walk the Hezekiah’s Tunnels. Continue to the Pool of Siloam. We will visit The First Church of the Nazarene in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Prayer Center (former home of Horatio Spafford, writer of the hymn “It is Well Wth My Soul”). Free afternoon for personal reflection. Tonight we enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant in Bethlehem . Back to Hotel in Bethlehem for overnight
SUNDAY – May 24 (Day 11): Allenby Bridge – Jordan – Bethany – Jerash – Petra
Today we will depart Israel for Jordan via the Allenby Bridge where we will meet our agent to assist us through security and customs. We start our trip in Jordan with a visit to Bethany beyond Jordan where John the Baptist traditionally is thought to have baptized Jesus. We will then explore Jerash, one of world’s best-preserved examples of Roman provincial city thought to have a population of 20,000 people. It was one of the wealthiest cities of the Roman Empire. Afterwards, we will head south to Petra, the “Rose Red City” for dinner and overnight.
MONDAY – May 25 (Day 12): Full day Petra – Amman
After breakfast we will visit the Site of Petra, 2000 years old Nabatean (ancient Arab) city that was highlighted in the movie “Indian Jones and the Last Crusader”. We will walk through the narrow passageway (Called the “Siq”) up to the treasury, a massive royal tomb carved out of solid rock. If time Permits we will visit the Traditional Tomb of Aron (Moses brother). Afternoon we have a transfer to Amman for dinner and overnight.
TUESDAY – May 26 (Day 13): Amman – Machaerus – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Departure
We will start our day with a visit to Machaerus, which is a fortified hilltop palace. We will head to Madaba the city of Mosaics to see the wonderfully vivid 6th century. We will then travel to Mt. Nebo to view the Holy Land from where mosses stood a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the Mt. of Olives and the roof tops of Jerusalem. Dinner than depart to airport for flight home.
WEDNESDAY– May 27 (Day 14): Arrival
Check out from hotel and depart to airport for our flight to return home. We will arrive on the same day!
